S-PRO
A No-Touch Aircraft Seating System for Next-Gen Travel
Concept study
S-PRO is an aircraft seat concept developed by Formeta Design in response to concerns about shared touchpoints, personal space and cabin comfort. Turkish Airlines supported the ideation and development stages.
The concept proposes control of seat movement, lighting and tray functions through a passenger’s own device. Physical seating and the digital interface were explored together, so the controls relate to the passenger’s position and journey.
The design also investigates an adjustable headrest, integrated sound, personal storage and materials selected with cleaning and weight in mind. These elements form a proposal for a future cabin experience, rather than a description of a certified seat in service.
