Design Approach
The square-based enclosure widens at the centre and narrows toward the ends, reducing the visual weight of a product suspended within the room. A thin LED strip follows the perimeter and brings lighting into the same geometry.
The project considers the hood as a freestanding presence above a kitchen island. Its proportions, viewing angles and illumination respond to that position rather than the arrangement of a wall-mounted appliance.
