Control Your Flight Experience, Without Touching a Thing.

The aviation industry, one of the sectors most impacted by the pandemic, is experiencing both direct and indirect effects. While the economic ramifications of travel restrictions are evident, there are also significant sociological changes. Passengers now seek increased personal space, greater hygiene standards, and equipment that is easier to clean. In response to these evolving needs, Formeta Design has developed S-Pro, a cutting-edge no-touch plane seat concept. This innovation aims to redefine the in-flight experience by allowing passengers to control all aspects of their seat and environment through a smart device. By eliminating the need to touch any other surfaces, except for sitting, S-Pro enhances both convenience and hygiene.

The heart of S-Pro’s functionality lies in its mobile app, which serves as a remote control for the seat. This app ensures that passengers can enjoy a comfortable and personalized journey by adjusting the seat’s moving parts. Whether reclining the seat, opening the footrests, or adjusting the headrests to their desired height, passengers have full control. In addition to seat adjustments, the app offers the ability to communicate with flight attendants, order meals, and engage with in-flight entertainment, including video content and audio through an innovative sound system. The app ensures that every aspect of the flight experience is tailored to the passenger’s preferences.

A key feature of the S-Pro design is the square screen unit, which maximizes the display size and allows passengers to control other features while watching videos in a 16:9 format. The screen is positioned in such a way that even if the passenger reclines their seat, the screen remains at the optimal viewing angle. To further enhance the passenger experience, S-Pro includes a charge and docking deck, ensuring that smart devices can be continuously charged and function as remote controllers throughout the flight.

Through these innovations, S-Pro offers a seamless, hygienic, and personalized flight experience for every passenger, marking a new era in aviation design.

Our design process for Ritzy Games encompassed every element of the game, from the playing cards to the chips, money, and game tables. Each item was meticulously designed to create a cohesive experience that aligns perfectly with the theme of the game—“ritzy.” The design elements were carefully chosen to reflect luxury and elegance, adding a sense of sophistication to the gameplay. The cards, chips, and tables blend modern aesthetics with traditional game elements, creating an immersive atmosphere that enhances the gaming experience.

Additionally, Formeta Design paid close attention to the dynamic elements of the game, ensuring that the user interface is not only functional but visually appealing. To engage players further, we introduced different status levels for users, each visualized through honor circles, offering a sense of progression and achievement as they play. These visual indicators were designed to provide players with clear, intuitive feedback on their progress, enhancing their overall experience within the game.

At Formeta Design, we approach projects with a holistic understanding that goes beyond just creating 3D objects. Our expertise extends to designing immersive experiences across various mediums, ensuring that the end result is a perfect balance of functionality, aesthetics, and user interaction. At Formeta Design, we were responsible for both the software and hardware design of Borda Sense, ensuring seamless integration between the two components. Our design process focused on creating a unified and compact solution that maximizes usability and interaction, making the system intuitive and efficient for the end user. By aligning both design and functionality, we have made it possible for users to manage and track assets with minimal effort and maximum accuracy.

Curved Built-in Gas Hob

The BF60a is one of the latest-generation gas hob models designed by Formeta Design, offering a refined balance of functionality and aesthetics. As a more compact version of the 60 cm-wide asymmetric butterfly model, it has been meticulously developed to meet the evolving needs of end users. A key design improvement in the BF60a is the repositioning of the wok gas burner to the front, ensuring better accessibility and enhanced cooking efficiency. By strategically placing it at a greater distance from the other burners, we have maximized the available cooking space, allowing users to utilize multiple burners simultaneously without restriction.

In addition to optimizing burner placement, safety was a primary consideration throughout the design process. The control knobs have been deliberately positioned away from the wok burner to prevent potential heat exposure, enhancing user safety and comfort. This thoughtful layout ensures intuitive operation while maintaining a sleek and uncluttered surface. Furthermore, the hob’s ergonomic arrangement supports a more efficient cooking experience, catering to both home cooks and professional users.

One of the defining visual elements of the BF60a is its curved pan support grid. Beyond its rustic and elegant appearance, this design choice serves a functional purpose by maximizing the distance between pan supports and burners, particularly the wok burner. This ensures stable placement of cookware, accommodating a variety of pot and pan sizes with ease. The curved design not only enhances aesthetics but also contributes to improved usability, making it a seamless addition to contemporary kitchens.

Crafted from high-quality stainless steel (inox), the BF60a exemplifies durability, sophistication, and modern design excellence. Its robust construction ensures long-term performance, while its distinctive design language blends seamlessly into both modern and traditional kitchen spaces. Formeta Design approached the development of the Meat Probe with a keen focus on both ergonomics and aesthetics. Dental 3D Printing with Precision and Design

The T-ROX Dental DLP 3D Printer, developed in collaboration with Tolard Technology, represents a groundbreaking innovation in the dental sector. At Formeta Design, we approached the design process with the intention of blending cutting-edge technology with a refined, user-friendly aesthetic. The result is a dental 3D printer that not only meets the highest standards of performance but also delivers a visually appealing and ergonomic design that enhances the user experience.

In the design of T-ROX, we sought to balance the industrial strength and rigidity of metal with a more refined and approachable appearance. The sharp, harsh lines of traditional metal were softened using rounded edges, transforming the otherwise industrial feel into a semi-industrial yet elegant look. This design approach shifts away from the typical mass and volume that the metal structure conveys, instead employing asymmetric cuts to create a dynamic and sleek form. To further enhance usability, we placed the screen on these curved surfaces, ensuring that users have easy access to the control panel, resulting in a more intuitive and user-friendly interface.

One of the key innovations in the T-ROX design is its upward-opening mechanism, which differentiates it from conventional 3D printers. By utilizing the angled surfaces of the machine, we implemented a unique opening system that adds an element of surprise and sophistication to the user experience. The opening mechanism, activated by a motion sensor, provides both a functional and striking feature, enhancing the overall interaction with the device.

Formeta Design also carefully tailored the product’s user interface and screen placement to ensure seamless integration with the hardware. This holistic approach, combining both hardware and software design, ensures that T-ROX functions as a cohesive and fully optimized system. The printer’s front panel proudly displays the Tolard Technology logomark, further reinforcing the product’s identity while adding an elegant touch to the overall design. Additionally, the glass structure allows for an observation window, providing users with a view of the printing process, which adds both practicality and aesthetic value.

The T-ROX Dental DLP 3D Printer is the result of an ongoing collaboration between Formeta Design and Tolard Technology, combining our expertise in design with Tolard’s commitment to quality engineering. This partnership has produced a product that is not only a technological marvel but also a testament to the power of design in shaping the future of dental technology. Storage Solutions with Design

The Nested Spice Rack, developed in close collaboration with our long-time partner Chef Seasons, redefines spice storage with an innovative design that not only maximizes space but also enhances functionality. Rather than merely stacking one spice rack inside another, we explored a more sophisticated approach. The design evolved from a simple square surface to a round form, blending complex geometries while ensuring the pieces interlock seamlessly. This thoughtful design process was focused on not just appearance but also usability, ensuring that the spice rack could efficiently store a variety of spices while making them easily accessible.

Recognizing the importance of customization for diverse needs, we incorporated an area on the top cover for personalized modifications. This additional space allows for the inclusion of labels or graphics to identify the spices, making it easier for users to distinguish between different varieties, even when stacked side by side. The graphical design element was meticulously developed, with various trials conducted to ensure clarity and legibility while maintaining the overall aesthetic of the product.

At Formeta Design, our expertise extends beyond just graphical design—we work to enhance the entire user experience. This Nested Spice Rack project is a prime example of how we focus on both form and function, offering solutions that not only look good but also improve everyday usability.
